Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Ensure proper food handling, storage, and portioning to prevent waste and ensure freshness Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery times Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and presentation quality Qualifications Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is highly preferred Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production Skilled in food preparation techniques including slicing, dicing, and knife skills with proper technique Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to menu specifications Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members Demonstrated culinary experience with a focus on meal preparation, food handling, and sanitation practices Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious dishes in a lively kitchen setting!
