- Full-time Head Cook We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cook to oversee the culinary operations in our busy restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all meals meet our high standards for quality and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
- Assist with menu planning and preparation.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as front-of-house and management, to ensure seamless service.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment and tools.
- Participate in kitchen meetings and contribute to menu planning and design.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all meals are served promptly and with a smile.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen, with a focus on meal preparation and presentation.
- Proven track record of managing a team and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and handling regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with catering and special events is a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Skills:
- Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation.
- Experience with food service and meal preparation.
- Strong understanding of culinary principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and management.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
