Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring food quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, kitchen operations, and teamwork to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Candidates with culinary experience and a passion for food preparation are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to standardized recipes and menu specifications Cook a variety of dishes while adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other appliances Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools to meet sanitation standards Follow recipe adherence and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily service or catering events Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and service flow Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of supply needs Ensure compliance with food safety management protocols at all times Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Knowledge of food industry standards, safety procedures, and sanitation practices Skills in culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing techniques, and cooking methods Experience with food preparation, meal assembly, and catering is advantageous Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and food safety management systems Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
