Job description The Edgeworth Club has an opening for:

Line Cook, full time We are directly located on the bus line, a mere 15 minutes away from various major areas. We have been making memories for our members since 1893, with numerous staff staying with the club for decades.   • Complimentary staff meals We are looking for a Line Cook to join our kitchen staff where they will assist various stations throughout the club.
Cook responsibilities include preparing various hors d'oeuvres, sandwiches, grill items, sauté items, fry items, general prep work. To be successful in this role, you should be able to handle the kitchen's fast-paced working environment, be familiar with food hygiene and be available to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Prep, setup, and execute live action station for Friday Italian Night and Sunday Brunch Work the line as a roundsman as needed Make hot food items from sauté, grill, oven, and fryer Work with a team in a fast-paced and fun environment Perform meal-prep activities before guests arrive Store and rotate ingredients to keep them fresh and reduce food wastage Check food plating, temperature and portions for all dishes Sterilize kitchen equipment at the end of your shift Occasionally assist with plating for ala carte dining as well as banquets and large events Recommend different recipes to use during events Maintain a clean station at all times Skills Work experience as a Line Cook or similar role Hands-on experience with professional kitchen equipment Good knowledge of food plating techniques Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team spirit Availability to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A degree from a culinary school is a plus but not necessary with extensive experience.
