Wage:
$19.50 per hour; higher pay available based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in meal preparation and cooking according to standardized recipes. Test food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using established procedures and guidelines. Create specials and assist with recipe development as needed. Modify recipes to meet quality standards and submit recipes to the Assistant Sous Chef or Chef. Participate in daily production meetings and all mandatory in-services. Monitor and direct kitchen personnel on proper portion control, reading and following recipes, proper use of weights and measures, and safe food handling practices. Assist with inventory and ordering duties as assigned by the Chef. Maintain a cleaning schedule to assure work areas are kept clean and sanitary. Assure kitchens and related areas are set up and cleaned up using established cleaning guidelines and checklists. Practice proper operation of equipment to ensure personal safety and avoid damage to equipment. Assure proper records are maintained for food production and ordering within the food management system. Mentor, monitor, and direct kitchen personnel. Follow Willow Valley's HACCP plan and all related food safety policies and procedures. In Supportive Living, plate meals while strictly following Resident Tray Tickets or Resident Select Menus, diet restrictions, allergies, and preferences.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must attain ServSafe certification. ⏰

11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Every other
Saturday and Sunday:
7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Some holidays πŸ“
