Overview 🍽️ Part-Time Host/Hostess Join our team and help create a warm, welcoming dining experience for Residents and guests in one of our Independent Living buildings! ✨ As a Host/Hostess , you'll be the first friendly face our diners see, coordinating seating arrangements and supporting dining room operations to ensure exceptional customer service and an outstanding experience for everyone. Wage $15.50/hour Responsibilities Ensures prompt, courteous service for Residents and guests following Willow Valley standards. Escorts Residents and guests to their table, provides menus, shares specials, and pours ice water. Monitors adherence to the dress code for Residents and guests. Responsible for the set-up and monitoring of special functions, in addition to normal daily operations. Prepares Daily Meal Served Reports and other reports as assigned. Posts daily menus, copies, and enlarges as directed. Assists with clearing and resetting tables at the conclusion of each meal for the next group of diners or meal period. Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of servers and bus persons. Inspects dining rooms and serving stations for neatness and cleanliness. Requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations. Maintains a smooth flow of dining room functions to ensure Willow Valley standards are met. Follows Willow Valley's HACCP Plan and Food Safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Excellent Customer Service High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hours 10-12 hours per week
