Job Description
Line Cook Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong food preparation and cooking skills, understand kitchen operations and food safety, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, standards, and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of various foods and proper preparation methods. Use appropriate cooking techniques and temperatures to ensure food quality, safety, and proper yield. Properly prepare and handle meats, vegetables, and other food products. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area. Follow all kitchen safety and food-handling procedures. Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks during busy service periods. Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other team members. Follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Minimize food waste while maintaining quality and consistency. Qualifications Two (2) years of training or experience in large-scale commercial or institutional food preparation. Thorough knowledge of food preparation methods and cooking techniques. Knowledge of proper cooking temperatures and methods for meats and other foods. Ability to read and write and perform simple calculations. Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
