Job Description

Major Functions:
Under the direct supervision of the Head Cook this person will be responsible for preparing daily meals for children.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for preparing, cooking and serving meals to children Must keep accurate records of Child and Adult Care Food program (CACFP) based on Head Start guidelines and USDA Maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen area utilizing CACFP standards of sanitation
Knowledge and Abilities:
Good written and verbal skills Must attend all trainings
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED and have 6 months of food preparation and service experience
Other Requirements:
Must have a current physical exam and TB screening, and submit to each every two years Must have a current first aid certificate and CPR training or receive within the first 3 months of hire Must successfully pass a
SLED/FBI
background check Ability to respond positively to Child Abuse/Neglect clearance check and criminal records check
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 10-40 lbs. occasionally Stand, walk, bend, and stoop on occasion
