Job Description

About Us:
The Social Cork Wine Bar is a vibrant and welcoming spot for wine lovers, foodies, and social gatherers. We specialize in small plates, elevated comfort food, and curated wine selections in a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. We're looking for a dedicated Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and help us deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
Job Summary:
The Cook/Prep Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This position includes food prep, cooking, plating, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients and assist in setting up workstations for daily service Cook menu items according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines consistently Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Ensure proper labeling and rotation of ingredients (FIFO) Support other kitchen staff in food preparation and other duties as needed Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills Must be able to lift 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule & Compensation:
