You will also step into a leadership role in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary guidelines Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and special diets, including modified textures Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards Monitor and record food temperatures Assist with meal service and ensure appealing presentation Maintain sanitizer solutions and follow cleaning schedules Clean kitchen equipment, workspaces, and serving carts Collaborate with dietary staff and other departments Report resident concerns to leadership as needed Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED preferred At least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care Understanding of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification Knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC) preferred Friendly, professional demeanor Strong teamwork and communication skills Compassion for an underserved population Why Join Fountain Inn Post Acute?
