Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Full Time Cook, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will directly enhance the well-being and comfort of our residents. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing nutritious, appealing meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents in assisted living or nursing home settings. Your positive attitude and attention to food safety will help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes health and happiness for all. Duties Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring meals meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences Serve meals with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent customer service standards Handle food safely by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling, and storage procedures Support kitchen cleanliness through cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly Follow proper food production procedures, including portion control and presentation standards Maintain accurate documentation related to dietary needs, meal counts, and sanitation logs Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards necessary for safe food handling Strong time management skills to efficiently prepare and serve multiple meals within scheduled times Experience with food preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen cleanliness routines Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and team members Ability to follow detailed instructions related to dietary requirements and meal plans Join us in delivering nourishing meals that make a difference! $15.00 per hour
