Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, talented and dependable Cook who takes pride in preparing delicious, attractive, and nutritious foods, to join our culinary team. Wesley Commons is a master-planned, full-service Continuing Care Retirement Community situated on over 150 picturesque, wooded acres in Greenwood, South Carolina. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for our residents, combining the charm of small-town living with access to major metropolitan areas. Our dining program operates as a full service, cook to order, restaurant that offers a blend of casual and elegant culinary experiences, designed to provide variety, nutrition, and the joy of shared meals. From casual restaurant dining to intimate fine dining evenings, our culinary team emphasizes fresh ingredients and balance nutrition while accommodating special dietary needs and preference.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals under the direction of our Executive Chef Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards Ensure food is prepared safely and served with consistency. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. Requirements Must be able to execute basic cooking techniques such as grilling, sauteing, braising, baking, etc. Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or senior living environment preferred. Passion for quality food and excellent customer service. Ability to work efficiently in a large fast-paced kitchen. Dependable, positive team player, solution oriented, and committed to excellence. Food safety knowledge (ServSafe certification is a plus).
