Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. This role is essential in ensuring that our dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Assist in meal preparation for catering events and fine dining services. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all food products. Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and efficiency. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Requirements Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
