Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients with care to ensure cleanliness and hygiene Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support smooth kitchen operations Maintain a clean and organized work station by cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and timing Adhere strictly to safety standards during food production to prevent accidents or contamination Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant kitchens, with a strong foundation in culinary techniques Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Skilled in food preparation, cooking methods, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence Excellent knife skills and proficiency in slicing techniques for efficient prep work Familiarity with food handling procedures, safety standards in production, and food safety management Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Strong communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and ensuring smooth workflow Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food quality Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
