Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and portion guidelines.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients.
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages or supply needs to the supervisor.
- Properly store food and label items to ensure freshness and prevent waste.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces after use.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Follow safe food handling procedures, including proper temperature control.
- Assist in serving meals and ensuring portions are accurate and consistent.
- Support special meal services or events as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.

- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one preferred.
