Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook at The Crooked Cork in Pawleys Island, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food industry expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Cook and plate dishes efficiently, ensuring consistency and presentation quality Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, mixers, ovens, and fryers Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with food safety standards Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all menu items Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitation standards in production environments Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to menu specifications Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen team members Basic understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and meal assembly Willingness to learn operating procedures for various kitchen equipment and safety protocols Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high safety standards in food handling Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
