Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance and coordinating meal components for efficient service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold food safety and sanitation standards Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Support the food service team by serving dishes promptly and communicating effectively with kitchen staff during busy periods Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with food prep for catering or special events Experience Previous experience in a food industry setting such as a restaurant, catering service, or dietary department is preferred Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and operating various kitchen equipment is highly desirable Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and support team members Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious meals, ensuring safety in the kitchen, and delivering outstanding service.
