Job Description

Job Overview Countryside Senior Living is seeking an independent, self-motivated full-time cook to prepare and serve appealing and nutritious meals to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with nutritional standards, internal procedures and government regulations while preparing and serving foods and beverages to all residents.
Responsibilities:
Prep & cook palatable, presentable and delicious food for 80+ residents under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms Remove plates and serve ware upon the completion of a resident finishing their meal Discard trash and remove waste after scheduled dining hall times Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances Ability to follow all food safety protocol Ability to follow all proper cleaning/ sanitation procedures and expected to thoroughly clean and sanitize personal work area, equipment, and supplies Other duties as assigned Skills Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles preferred Strong culinary skills, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and meal preparation Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or restaurant environments is highly desirable Ability to adapt quickly to new recipes or menu changes as needed This position is ideal for candidates passionate about culinary arts and committed to delivering exceptional food experiences.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
