Full-Time Are you an experienced Cook who takes pride in preparing great food and creating a positive dining experience? The Rivers at Maryland Farms in Brentwood, TN is looking for a dependable and talented Full-Time Cook to join our culinary team. In senior living, dining is about much more than serving a meal. It's an important part of our residents' day and an opportunity to create comfort, connection, and a true sense of home. What You'll Do Prepare high-quality meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and established portion guidelines. Help ensure meals are flavorful, attractive, nutritious, and served at the proper temperature. Assist with menu planning and food preparation as needed. Follow resident dietary requirements, including therapeutic and modified diets. Maintain proper sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen. Assist with cleaning cooking areas, kitchen equipment, and food preparation spaces. Properly store, label, rotate, and handle food in accordance with food safety standards. Work closely with the Dining Services team to ensure meals are prepared and served on time. Communicate with supervisors regarding menu planning, food preparation, dietary needs, and other dining-related matters. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For At least 1 year of cooking or related food service experience required . Senior living, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. Culinary education or equivalent professional cooking experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, proper food handling, and kitchen procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Dependable, organized, and committed to providing excellent service. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position.
