Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at Restaurant Hull. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for flavor, presentation, and safety. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and commitment to cleanliness will help ensure a smooth kitchen operation, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors Follow food safety protocols and handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards throughout all stages of food production Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure timely service during busy hours Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during service Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within restaurants or catering environments Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Skilled in using kitchen tools such as knives with excellent slicing techniques and precision cuts Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal plans while maintaining consistency in quality Experience operating various kitchen appliances safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members Familiarity with dietary department procedures, dietary aide experience, or food industry standards is a plus Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards Join us if you're passionate about culinary arts, eager to grow your skills in a lively environment, and committed to delivering outstanding food experiences. Pay:
