Cook Little Magic Bar & Kitchen — Johnson City, TN Part-Time or Full-Time | $16/hour + tips Little Magic Bar & Kitchen is looking for a dependable, hard-working Cook to join our kitchen team in downtown Johnson City. We're a locally owned bar and restaurant with a busy nightlife scene, brunch service, events, and a growing food program. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, cares about food quality, keeps their station organized, and can work efficiently during busy services. Whether you're an experienced line cook or someone with solid kitchen experience ready to grow, we want someone who brings a strong work ethic and a team-first attitude. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and plating Complete prep work and keep your station stocked and ready for service Work efficiently during busy dinner, brunch, late-night, and event services Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen throughout each shift Follow food safety procedures for food handling, storage, temperatures, labeling, and sanitation Monitor ingredients and communicate low stock or supply needs to management Help with opening, closing, cleaning, and kitchen organization Work closely with the Kitchen Manager and other team members to keep service running smoothly Take direction, communicate clearly, and help solve problems as they arise What We're Looking For Reliable, punctual, and ready to work Previous line cook, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen Able to multitask, stay organized, and maintain quality under pressure Strong attention to detail and pride in food preparation Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices Team-oriented, respectful, and willing to help wherever needed Open to feedback, coaching, and learning new techniques Available for evening, weekend, and brunch shifts as needed Why Little Magic?
