Job Description

Job Overview The Golf Club of Tennessee, a private course located about 20 minutes west of Nashville, in Kingston Springs, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing meals according to our menu specifications and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently. The Line Cook is responsible for giving exceptional service to the members and guests through preparing food from all Club menus efficiently and in a precise manner. Duties Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Assist in the inspection of all incoming food product. Responsible for a la carte menu set-up and execution. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in employee meal service and production. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Assures that proper FIFO rotation is used on all food items. Responsible for opening and/or closing checklists. Be flexible and willing to help in all facets of the operation as directed by the managerial staff. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Experience in a kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Familiarity with meal preparation processes and menu planning is a plus.
