In this vital role, you will oversee food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences, whether in a restaurant, catering environment, or high-volume setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about culinary arts, possesses strong knife skills, and has a proven track record in food safety management and menu planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while leading a team dedicated to excellence. Duties Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely meal service Oversee food preparation processes, including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations Develop and implement innovative menu plans that align with dietary needs and customer preferences Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively during high-volume production Monitor ingredient quality and manage inventory to minimize waste while maximizing freshness Train team members on recipe adherence, proper knife skills, and food safety standards Coordinate with dietary departments or nutrition teams to meet specific dietary requirements or restrictions Experience Extensive culinary experience in fine dining or high-volume food production environments Proven leadership experience as a lead cook or sous chef role within a restaurant or catering setting Strong background in food industry best practices including food safety management and sanitizing procedures Skilled in various cooking methods such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques Demonstrated ability to plan menus, manage kitchen operations, and oversee food service delivery Experience working with dietary aides or dietary departments is a plus Exceptional knife skills and familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience implementing food safety protocols.
