Summary:
Under the guidance of the Food Service Manager, the Food Service Worker plays a vital role in preparing and serving meals to students in our residential dining hall. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming food service environment, as well as assisting with food prep and packing meals for dorms and special events.Responsibilities:
Prepare the dining area for service by filling ice machines, maintaining water levels in steam tables, organizing hot/cold food displays, and setting out milk, juice, and fruit. Support cooks with daily food preparation by fetching ingredients, lifting supplies, and completing other routine kitchen tasks. Replenish napkins, utensils, and other dining containers before the next meal service. Assist storekeeping with receiving, organizing, and properly rotating incoming food deliveries.
