Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to work in Tennessee State Parks? We have an amazing opportunity to work in a beautiful environment at Fall Creek Falls State Park Lodge in Spencer, TN. Nestled among stunning natural scenery, the park is a premier destination for conferences, business retreats, and unforgettable family vacations. Our modern lodge features a full‑service restaurant, welcoming lounge, and versatile catering facilities—creating a dynamic environment where our team plays an essential role in elevating each guest's experience. This position is responsible for leading the daily shifts in the kitchen preparing meals for the restaurant and banquet meetings. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of commercial kitchens and experience in high-volume restaurant operations. A ServSafe certification is required for this position within 90 days of employment. Candidates should have the ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities and the ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects. The position requires work on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications (MQs) for this position: High School diploma plus 4 years experience preparing food in a kitchen serving both restaurant and catering operations. A substitution of education or experience: a bachelor's degree in culinary arts or food and beverage management is preferred and can substitute on a year-by-year basis for the required experience, up to 3 years.
