Muy Yum is a Food Truck located in the yard of Grisette, a new coffee and wine bar concept opening in early September at 1004 W. 11th Street, Austin, TX 78703. It serves charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and salads all with a Latin flair. We focus on using locally sourced ingredients from Texas and Mexico. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESYou will be responsible for running Muy Yum's daily operations and the standard-bearer for our food truck program.

Your responsibilities will include:

Opening the truck and setting the tone for each day's service. Maintain these standards for the whole team. Closing the truck, including breakdown, cleaning, and securing equipment and inventory. Maintain these standards with the whole team. Maintaining and enforcing food quality and service standards throughout each shiftPlacing food orders on Monday and Thursdays. COMPENSATIONBase Wage:

$18.00 per hour + tips

Take-Home Guarantee, First Three Months:

Muy Yum will guarantee a minimum take-home rate of $20.00 per hour (base + tips) for the first two months of your employment.

Expected Earning Range:

Once fully operational, the expected average take-home rate (base + tips) is $27.00 to $33.00 per hour.

Benefits:

PTO:

Employees accrue 1.54 hours of PTO for every 40 hours worked, with eligibility to use accrued PTO beginning at six months of employment. PTO pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Health Care Stipend:

$200 monthly We do not currently offer health care, but will provide those in leadership with a stipend to offset health care costs.

Sick Pay:

Five days of sick pay annually. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

HOURSThis starts as a part-time position, with the opportunity to go full time by the second week of October. Expected weekly hours are 30 - 40 hours depending on business volume and seasonal needs. Scheduling will be communicated with as much advance notice as possible.
