Spend yours in a real French kitchen. We're Baguette et Chocolat, a small family-owned authentic French bakery famous for our fresh daily-baked bread, croissants, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. Everything we serve is artisan-crafted using traditional French methods and recipes we're very proud of and Austin has noticed. We're a neighborhood favorite, and our weekends are our busiest, most energetic shifts.

That's where you come in.

The roleWe're looking for an energetic, experienced Line Cook to run our kitchen on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays our peak days. You'll be the backbone of the weekend rush: prepping, cooking, plating, and keeping orders flowing in sync with our front-of-house team.

This is a perfect fit if you want a consistent three-day schedule with your weekdays completely free students, creatives, side-hustlers, or seasoned cooks looking for balance without giving up serious kitchen work.

What you'll doStock and prep the kitchen at the start of your shiftPrepare food to order: sandwiches, salads, omelets, paninis, and more including cleaning and cutting ingredientsJuggle several orders at once without losing the overview (this one's crucial on weekends!)Plate prepared foods based on our presentation standardsWork hand-in-hand with FOH staff so every order goes out right and on timeClean the kitchen and cooking equipment at the end of the shiftKeep everything up to food safety standards and hygiene regulationsWhat you bringHigh school diplomaMinimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Prep Cook in a fast-paced kitchenThe ability to run a line independently and stay cool when the tickets stack upReliable weekend availability Friday through Sunday, every weekWhat we offer$24.00 $28.00 per hour, based on experienceA steady, predictable schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun, 8:00 AM 2:30 PM (weekdays are all yours)A pleasant, friendly workplace run by and as a family you're a name here, not a number.
