A note on who you'd work for: Specialty Food Services manages the dining operation at Camp Buckner. You'd be an SFS employee, working on site at the camp. We serve about 3 meals a day out in the Hill Country — youth camps one week, adult and church retreats the next, corporate and business groups after that. It's real cooking at real volume, for people who are genuinely glad you're feeding them. What the job is You'll cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner — scratch cooking from a set menu, prep ahead, buffet-line and family-style service, and keeping your station and the walk-in clean and organized. The guests change from week to week, and so does the menu and the pace. If you've ever been bored cooking the same covers every night, you won't be here.
