Job Description

Ability to follow recipes. Passion for making delicious food for our residents Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations Contributes to a positive and professional restaurant environment. Possesses knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks including setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service, maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line, cooking menu items, keeping clean stations, and notifying managers of inventory needs. No task is too small, including taking out the trash. Ensures that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion. Cooperates and works well with the rest of the kitchen staff. Works under the supervision of the Director, but relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals and solve problems. Responds to comments and criticisms in a positive and constructive manner and promptly corrects any problems. Works continuously to improve customer satisfaction. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high-volume and sets a positive example for others. Able to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally. Complies with food safety, sanitary, and hygiene regulations. Fills in for fellow employees where needed to ensure service standards and efficient operations.
