Job Description
Pizza & Pasta Line Cook - Experience Required Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen - Bridgeland/Cypress, TX Russo's New York Pizzeria is hiring an experienced Pizza and Pasta Line Cook for our Bridgeland location. We are a full-service Italian restaurant with a scratch kitchen—not a fast-food or burger restaurant. Required Experience Applicants must have at least two years of recent cooking experience in one or more of the following:
- Full-service Italian restaurant
- Pizzeria or pizza restaurant
- Pasta and sauté station
- Full-service scratch kitchen Fast-food or burger-cooking experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position. Responsibilities
- Stretch and prepare pizza dough by hand
- Prepare and cook New York-style pizzas
- Operate a commercial pizza oven
- Cook pasta, sauces, chicken, seafood and Italian entrées
- Work the sauté, pizza, fryer and preparation stations as assigned
- Follow Russo's recipes, portions and presentation standards
- Maintain proper food temperatures and sanitation
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized and fully stocked
- Complete prep lists accurately and on time
- Work quickly during busy lunch and dinner service
- Communicate and work effectively with the kitchen team Qualifications
- Minimum two years of qualifying restaurant cooking experience
- Pizza, pasta or Italian restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Must understand food safety and proper kitchen sanitation
- Must be dependable, punctual and able to follow recipes
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
