Prep Cook - Cedar Cove Ranch & Resort is hiring a dependable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our growing Food & Beverage team in Eustace, Texas.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prep ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizers, and events Wash, chop, portion, season, and organize food for service Assist chefs and cooks with daily meal preparation Properly label, date, rotate, and store food Maintain clean, organized prep and kitchen areas Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries Follow food safety and sanitation standards Help with kitchen cleanup and closing duties Support large groups, weddings, retreats, hunts, and special events
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Dependable and punctual — reliability is extremely important Strong work ethic and positive attitude Able to follow recipes and chef instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen Able to stand for extended periods and lift 40-50 lbs Available for a flexible hospitality schedule, including some evenings and weekends Restaurant, catering, banquet, or prep experience preferred Qualifications 2+ year of professional kitchen, restaurant, catering, banquet, or food-prep experience preferred Basic knowledge of food preparation, knife skills, and kitchen equipment Understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and food-safety practices Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, portion standards, and Chef instructions Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule Strong work ethic with a team-first attitude Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Comfortable working a flexible hospitality schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 lbs Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen workspace Food Handler Certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if required Reliable transportation to the ranch required Employment Requirements Must be able to pass a background check, consistent with applicable law. Employees must comply with company smoking and tobacco policies while on property and during working hours.

Pay:
