Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious Baker/Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of a variety of delicious Pies and Cake and Prep for the Kitchen. We pride ourselves on our fresh, homemade, pies with no preservatives. You will be responsible for baking fresh pies and cakes every morning, as well as performing routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. The position is hourly and begins at 6 a.m. minimum of 5 days a week. Responsibilities Mixing, preparing and baking all items on the menu Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time Follow the prep list created Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Skills Ability to read and follow recipes. Baking Good organizational skills Proven experience as prep cook Knowledge of health and safety rules in a bakery and kitchen Able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
