Dietary Cook Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Cook to join our team at Avir at Kirbyville in Kirbyville, TX. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional culinary services to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met while also maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes, meeting the dietary needs of our residents Ensure food is served hot, appetizing, and meets quality standards Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to sanitation and safety regulations Order and receive food and supplies, managing inventory and minimizing waste Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to develop and implement meal plans, menus, and catering services Participate in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control efforts Maintain accurate records of food preparation, consumption, and waste Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and handling regulations Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred 0-2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare setting; prior experience in a long-term care facility or senior living community a plus Ability to lift, bend, and move comfortably in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Join Our Team If you are passionate about delivering exceptional culinary services and committed to providing high-quality care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. to become a part of our dynamic team at Avir at Kirbyville!
