Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines with precision and consistency Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching tools, and food production appliances Ensure adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices at all times Assist in menu planning and meal preparation for high-volume service periods, maintaining quality and presentation standards Support dietary department requirements by preparing specialized meals that meet specific dietary needs Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular sanitizing of surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy evening and weekend shifts Experience Proven experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, catering services, or healthcare facilities with a focus on meal preparation and food service Strong background in culinary techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume production while maintaining quality standards Familiarity with food safety management systems and sanitizing procedures Experience working with dietary menus or special dietary accommodations preferred Excellent knife skills and knowledge of recipe adherence to ensure consistency across all dishes Prior experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary talents to life during evening and weekend hours!
