Job Description

Relief Cook Midtowne Meadows Health & Rehab Address:
110 Dylan Way, Midlothian, TX 76065
Shift Availability:
This position follows a 4 days on / 2 days off rotating schedule and serves as a relief role supporting the Lead Cook. The Relief Cook works on the Lead Cook's scheduled days off . 2
Morning Shifts:
5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 2
Evening Shifts:
11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Schedule may vary based on operational needs. We offer a low staff-to-resident ratio, hands-on leadership support, and a workplace built on respect, collaboration, and professional growth. Position Summary As a Cook, you will plan, prepare, and cooks food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for our patients/residents. Help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. Ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage procedures as outlined by the Facility. Responsibilities Prepares food items for patients/residents as requested, including special requests, in a timely and consistent manner. Determine food and supply needs based on rotating menus. Inspect food products and supplies as needed. Ensure work environment and stations are clean and sanitized. Check food before it is served to patients/residents. Control and minimize waste. Comply with outlined safety regulations and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. LTC/SNF Dietary Experience required. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Comfortable standing, stopping, squatting, twisting, and moving frequently. Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances. Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow recipes.
