Midland, Odessa, Big Spring, Pecos, TX & Jal, Carlsbad, Loving, NM Versatile and Skilled? Join Us as a Floater Cook! We're seeking a dependable and experienced Floater Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and served across a variety of kitchen stations and mealtimes. Reporting directly to the Chef, the Floater Cook will support all aspects of meal service, maintain kitchen standards, and provide a consistent culinary experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and serve meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service as needed Set up and break down food service lines, steam tables, and stations according to the daily menu Demonstrate safe, efficient use of industrial knives and kitchen equipment Clean, trim, and prep raw meats, poultry, and seafood Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation at all times Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, floors, counters, shelves, and other surfaces Label and date all stored items and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) storage practices Receive and assist with unloading grocery deliveries and ensure proper stock rotation Minimize food waste through proper portioning and storage practices Follow PPE, food safety, and hygiene guidelines consistently Provide courteous and professional service to all guests and staff Support kitchen operations as directed by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or F&B Director Assist with buffet and display setup as needed for meal services Read and follow recipes and plating instructions with attention to detail What We're Looking For At least 2 years of cooking experience (hospitality or high-volume preferred) Basic culinary training required (formal education a plus, but not mandatory) Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices Basic Food Safe Certificate required Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English (bilingual preferred) Comfortable using a variety of kitchen equipment (slicers, mixers, grinders, etc.) Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Reliable, adaptable, and able to work both independently and in a team Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in high/low temperature environments Professional appearance and attitude that aligns with company standards Able to obtain and maintain any required permits or certifications Work Environment & Physical Demands Must be comfortable working in hot kitchens (up to 122°F / 50°C) and cold areas like freezers (down to 4°F / -20°C) Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting throughout shifts Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs Use of hands, manual dexterity, and visual acuity required for kitchen tasks Ability to self-demonstrate cutting, plating, and cooking techniques Exposure to noise levels that may require raised voice communication Compensation & Benefits (After 90 Days) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Long-Term Benefit After 1 year of continuous service , employees receive full coverage of allied medical expenses , paid entirely by the company Ready to Put Your Skills to Work in a Dynamic Kitchen?
