Food Preparation Supervisor Job Type:
Hourly / Non-Exempt Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our food preparation team. The Line Prep is responsible for preparing and organizing ingredients needed for daily restaurant service while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, chop, slice, portion, and prepare ingredients. Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, garnishes, and other items needed for service. Follow recipes, preparation procedures, and portion standards. Label, date, store, and rotate prepared foods properly. Stock and replenish ingredients needed for kitchen service. Maintain clean and organized preparation areas, equipment, utensils, refrigerators, and storage areas. Follow food safety, sanitation, and cross-contamination procedures. Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, handling, and storage. Complete daily prep lists accurately and on time. Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties. Follow instructions from the Food Preparation Manager and Food Preparation Supervisor. Qualifications Previous food preparation or restaurant kitchen experience preferred, but not required. Ability to follow recipes and instructions. Dependable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality. Food Handler certification required or must be obtained after hire as applicable. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working around kitchen equipment, sharp tools, heat, and cleaning products. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
