Job Description
Job Summary Looking for a Prep/Line Cook for a busy Breakfast & Lunch restaurant in Red Oak, TX Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines while maintaining consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools. Follow food safety procedures diligently, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices at all times. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning surfaces, utensils, equipment, and ensuring compliance with health standards. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery. Support food service operations by assisting in meal plating, portioning, and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting. Strong knowledge of safety standards in production environments and food handling protocols. Excellent knife skills with slicing technique expertise for efficient prep work. Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for menu adjustments or catering needs. Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other team members. Knowledge of food safety management systems to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Pay:
