Job Description

Job Summary Rush Creek Yacht Club is seeking a personable, professional, and hospitality-focused Fry Cook to join our team. At Rush Creek, cooking is about much more than cooking. As a private club, we strive to create an environment where our Members feel recognized, welcomed, and at home every time they walk through the door and deliver consistent food in a timely manner.

Our Fry Cook should:

Arrive to work on time. Keep area clean and organized at all times. Maintain a good working relationship with all team members. Work with the Chef to delivery a consistent flow of all orders. Assist with buffet prep. Assist with dishwashing and other regular kitchen duties. Perform additional duties as requested by management. Typical Schedule This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20-30 hours per week. Regular shifts are primarily Wednesdays, Friday evenings with varied shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

•4:30 PM Additional or adjusted hours may occasionally be required for regattas, Club events, private events, holidays, and other special functions. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Current TABC Certification required. Current Food Handlers Certificate required. ServSafe Certified preferred. Must have a minimum of 6 months previous experience as a fry cook, grill cook or short order cook Private club, restaurant, fast-food restaurant, hotel, or banquet experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills. Genuine enjoyment of interacting with people and building relationships. Professional, positive, and welcoming demeanor. Ability to remember names. Ability to remain composed, organized, and attentive during busy service periods. Dependable and punctual. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, regattas, and special events as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
