Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparation
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Line Cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Strong understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary requirements is a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a team
