Responsibilities Prepare a variety of menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising tools, poaching stations, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by following food safety sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation. Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and ensuring proper food handling practices Participate in food safety management practices to ensure compliance with health regulations and quality standards Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during high-volume production periods Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry or restaurant environment Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering or large-scale food production is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Dietary aide experience or background in dietary departments is a plus but not required
