The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. This position is perfect for individuals looking to advance their culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties Prepare and assemble ingredients for meal preparation according to recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in the cooking process by preparing food items such as vegetables, meats, and sauces. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and ovens. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or dietary department is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
