Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed. Follow dietary guidelines when preparing meals for special dietary needs. Skills Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork and communication skills within a kitchen setting. Familiarity with meal preparation for various dietary requirements is an asset. A proactive approach to problem-solving in the kitchen.
