POSITION SUMMARY
At Hill's Kitchen Park City, the Prep Cook is the foundation the whole kitchen is built on. Before the first ticket prints and the first guest sits down, you've already done the work that makes everything possible. You'll spend your shift breaking down ingredients, portioning proteins, prepping sauces, and setting the line up for success, following recipes and food safety protocols with care and consistency. We're looking for someone who takes pride in the details, moves with purpose, and understands that great food starts long before it hits the plate. This position requires availability five days per week, including weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Taking direction of from the Sous Chef(s) and Chef de Cuisine in assisting with specific duties Paying attention to details and executing product in a timely manner of speed and accuracy Work as a team, listen to others and communicate effectively Have a sense of urgency Practice good hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness of the work station, always have a sanitizer bucket on site Ability to stand for long periods of time Work and Listen to the Chefs and discuss daily responsibilities Minimize waste and stay organized Maintain knowledge of food products and the preparation procedures Maintain and take care of equipment and work station items Work Safely with others Ensure proper rotation of products and label/date each product daily
QUALIFICATIONS A
minimum of 2 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including prep, line and constancy of work. Ability to communicate with a diverse team of associates at multiple skill levels Be able to lift, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50lbs. Flexibility in work schedule availability. Weekends, days, holidays included Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting Strong communication skills, ability to communicate goals to associates from management.
