Prep Cook La Caille Restaurant Sandy, UT Job Details Seasonal $17 - $20 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Food waste mitigation Pre-cooking preparation Kitchen stations Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Overview La Caille is seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Prep Cook / Brunch Cook to support our culinary team through the end of the year. This position will primarily assist with preparation for dinner service during the week and work as a cook for Saturday and Sunday brunch. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, and committed to maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and consistency. Duties Prepare ingredients and components for dinner service according to recipes, pars, and chef direction. Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently. Wash, chop, portion, label, date, and properly store ingredients. Prepare sauces, dressings, garnishes, proteins, vegetables, and other menu components as assigned. Work as a brunch cook on Saturdays and Sundays, executing assigned station responsibilities during service. Maintain consistency in preparation, portioning, presentation, and food quality. Communicate prep levels, shortages, waste, and product needs to kitchen leadership. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, storage, and temperature-control procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, prep area, walk-in, and kitchen equipment. Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries as needed. Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly. Assist the culinary team with additional kitchen responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Previous professional kitchen, prep cook, or line cook experience. Must have a current food handlers permit. Ability to work efficiently and independently while following chef direction. Comfortable working brunch service in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to organization, cleanliness, and food quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a commercial kitchen. Must be available Saturdays and Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve. Schedule This is a seasonal position through December 31, 2026 , scheduled approximately five days per week. Schedule and hours may vary based on restaurant and event volume.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
