This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cook who wants to continue working in a high-level culinary environment without the traditional restaurant night schedule and great pay . Our culinary team produces food for luxury weddings, corporate events, galas, embassy functions, and other high-end events throughout the Washington, DC area. This position is focused on daytime kitchen production. No regular evening or night shifts are required. Quality Life is important Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, quality, and presentation standards. Work with a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, braising, roasting, poaching, and high-volume production. Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, garnishes, and other components for catered events. Maintain consistency, portion control, and presentation standards. Safely operate professional kitchen equipment and maintain an organized workstation. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures. Support high-volume production while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Work collaboratively with chefs and other culinary team members. Assist with special menus, dietary accommodations, and event preparation as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Cook II, or similar culinary position . Fine dining, hotel, banquet, catering, or high-volume restaurant experience preferred. Strong knife skills and knowledge of professional cooking techniques. Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes consistently. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production kitchen. ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation to Alexandria, VA 22312. Schedule
