Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and portioning according to recipe specifications. Assist in assembling dishes and completing meal preparations in accordance with food safety standards. Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment regularly throughout shifts. Support the culinary team with menu planning ideas and ingredient sourcing when needed. Follow strict food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep activities and meet service deadlines. Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, chopping, and portioning. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering is advantageous. Strong understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff.
