Overview Join our team as a Prep Cook and become a vital contributor to creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, work alongside experienced kitchen staff, and ensure every dish meets our safety and quality standards. If you're passionate about food preparation, thrive in team settings, and are eager to learn, this position is perfect for you! Pay will start at $16+per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks to ensure timely meal service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure consistency and quality of dishes Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Collaborate with culinary staff to execute meal plans while adhering to dietary guidelines and menu plans Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Basic knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices in a food industry setting Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment Strong knife skills with slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff Prior restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for culinary work is key Join us in delivering exceptional dining experiences!
