IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

A clean background for the past 7 years is required for this position. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cook to prepare and cook food according to recipes and James Madison University standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to recipes and required temperatures. Assist with food preparation, plating, and service. Maintain food quality, portion sizes, and presentation. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures. Properly handle and store food and ingredients. Clean and maintain equipment, workstations, and kitchen areas. Work effectively with kitchen and service staff during busy periods. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous cook, line cook, or restaurant experience preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation and food safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability. Ability to stand for extended periods and work around hot equipment. Clean background for the past 7 years is required. Pay Rate $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience.
