Execute food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production to deliver appealing dishes. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors. Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices to ensure a safe dining environment. Assist with dietary department tasks such as inventory management, portion control, and recipe adherence. Support high-volume food production for daily meals, catering events, or special occasions with precision and efficiency. Skills Proven experience in dietary aide roles or culinary positions within senior living facilities or similar settings. Strong menu planning skills with an understanding of nutritional requirements for seniors. Extensive food preparation expertise including fine dining techniques and restaurant experience. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards. Skilled in cooking methods such as poaching, braising, grilling, and other culinary techniques; knife skills are essential. Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high-volume production standards. Experience in food industry roles involving catering, food service, or large-scale meal preparation is highly desirable.
